Arkansas took advantage of five Sacramento State errors to score five unearned runs en route to an 8-2 win at the Puerto Vallarta College Challenge Saturday afternoon.
After a throwing error extended the first inning, the Razorbacks (8-1) scored when Maggie Hicks was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded. Sacramento State took the lead in the third, however, on Suzy Brookshire's two-run single.
Three more unearned runs would cross the plate for Arkansas in the fourth, and Arkansas would add another unearned run thanks to a Sacramento State (3-4) error in the fifth. In the sixth, Kati Warrick's two-run homer came as part of a three-run inning in providing the winning margin for Arkansas.
The Razorbacks finish the tournament with a 3-1 record.
