#9 FSU Beats Northern Colorado at PV Challenge

PUERTO VALLARTA, Mexico - Freshman Jazzy Francik allowed just one run over six innings in her collegiate debut and Kennedy Hart was 4 for 4 with a double and three RBI’s leading #9 Florida State to a 7-1 win over Northern Colorado at the Puerto Vallarta College Challenge.

Francik scattered eight hits, walked just one and struck out four to get the win.

Isa Torres was 3 for 4 with a double and two runs scored while Janhi Kerr added a pair of hits and scored two runs for the Seminoles, who finished with 12 hits in the win.

Katie Dack’s two-run double in the top of the first gave FSU a 2-0 lead. The Noles would add two more in the second on an RBI single by Harp and a sacrifice fly by Annabelle Widra for a 4-0 lead after two innings.

Northern Colorado got on the board on an RBI single by Ella Gonzales in the third making the score 4-1.

The Noles added three runs in the seventh on an RBI single by Jahni Kerr before a two-run double by Harp to extend the lead to 7-1.

Gonzales was 3 for 3 while Abby Gaona  and Amailee Morales each added a pair of hits for Northern Colorado.
