Broncos Roll in Their Second Half of Double Header

NORTH DAKOTA STATE 0, BOISE STATE 8

PUERTO VALLARTA, Mexico - Boise State scored early and often in their way to their first 2025 Puerto Vallarta victory.

Sophia Knight picked up where she left off, with a single, steal and a run scored in the 1st inning. Knight has been the Bronco’s most elite hitter, batting .630 on the young season. Sydney Groves was credited with the RBI on the game’s first run. Two pitches later, Brooklynn Pettis drove in Mykenzie Hanna to make to a 2-0 Boise State lead.

Hollie Farmer added to the Bronco lead in the 3rd, with a single to left field, scoring an unearned Makenzie Butt.

Skylar Stroh scored in the 4th, extending the Boise State lead to 4, on a throwing error.

Megan Lake plated a pair in the 5th on an RBI double. Pettis and the pinch running Ashley Hernandez scored on the play.

Boise State put a stop to the game in the 6th by scoring a couple more. The final run of the game came from a Mykenzie Hanna steal of home.

Brook Thompson dominated in the circle all afternoon, allowing only 2 hits, 1 walk, while striking out 4 in her 6 inning complete game.

North Dakota State is back in action tonight at 8:00PM EST versus Indiana and Boise State plays again tomorrow at 7:00PM EST, also taking on the Hoosiers.
