Glab Leads #7 Washington to Win Over #17 Nebraska in Collegiate Debut

PUERTO VALLARTA, Mexico - Freshman Jadyn Glab’s towering three-run homer to center highlighted a five-run fifth leading #7 Washington to an 8-0 win over #17 Nebraska in a five inning run rule game in the Puerto Vallarta College Challenge at Nancy Almaraz Stadium.

Glab was 2 for 2 with four RBI’s and a run scored to lead Washington in her collegiate debut.

Ruby Meylan fired a two-hit shutout, walked one and struck out three to pick up the win in the circle.

Ava Bredwell had both of the Nebraska hits, a pair of singles.

Glab gave the Huskies a 1-0 lead with an RBI infield single in the second.

In the third, Glab’s homer capped the five run inning as Washington took a 6-0 lead.

Alana Johnson’s two-run double in the fourth made it 8-0 Huskies.

Johnson was 2 for 2 with a double, three RBI’s and two runs scored.
