PUERTO VALLARTA, Mex. - Kiki Milloy homered twice, doubled, and scored three runs to lead No. 11 Tennessee past Liberty 5-1 in Saturday's fourth game at Nancy Almaraz Stadium in the Puerto Vallarta College Challenge.
Milloy wasted no time connecting on a solo homer off the team tents in right to give her side a 1-0 lead. The score stayed the same until the fourth. With runners on second and third, the Lady Vols tried to dial up a squeeze, but the pitch was outside. Caught in a rundown, Giulia Koutsoyanopulos was able to avoid the tag and score on what turned into a double steal, making it 2-0.
In the fifth, Milloy would make her presence known again. This time, she pulled a pitch out to left for her fifth career homer in Puerto Vallarta, making it 3-0.
Liberty scored in the sixth when Devyn Howard lifted a solo homer out to left to trim the lead to 3-1. Milloy would again do her part offensively, this time drawing a walk and coming around to score on a Zaida Puni single. Koutsoyanopulos would close the scoring with an RBI single one batter later.
MIlloy, Koutsoyanopulos, and Mackenzie Donihoo would each be named to the All-Tournament Team.
Liberty will close its stay in Mexico Sunday when it faces Cal State Fullerton at 9:30 a.m.
