OLD DOMINION 63, NAVY 42

NORFOLK, VA - Old Dominion hosted Navy to start the third day of Round 1 in the 2025 WNIT. Old Dominion started strong and held Navy at arms length for the remainder of the game, ultimately winning by a score of 63-42.

The Monarchs were led in scoring by En’Dya Buford, who tallied 18 points, 10 of which came in the 2nd quarter, along with 4 rebounds and 3 assists.

Navy fought back in the 3rd quarter, outscoring Old Dominion 21-12 in that frame. Navy’s Zanai Barnett-Gay was a huge bright spot today, scoring 24, along with 8 boards.

Old Dominion will head to Indiana next to take on Purdue Fort Wayne at 7:00 p.m. ET on Tuesday.

CHATTANOOGA 53, ALABAMA A&M 49

CHATTANOOGA, TN – Freshman Gianna Corbitt poured in a career-high 27 points and pulled down 11 rebounds to lead Chattanooga to a 53-49 first-round victory over Alabama A&M in the 2025 Postseason WNIT.

It marked the second-consecutive game that Corbitt set a career high in scoring. On the day, Corbitt shot 10-of-13 from the field, including 3-of-3 from 3-point range, and knocked down four free throws in the final minute of the game to seal the victory. Caia Elisaldez joined Corbitt in double-figures with 13 points and seven assists for the Mocs.

Alabama A&M trailed by seven points with seven minutes to play, but came storming back with an 11-0 run to take a four-point lead with just 2:46 left in the game. Corbitt, however, wouldn’t let her team, scoring the last eight points of the game to seal the victory.

Chattanooga will now travel to Troy to take on the Trojans in the second round of the 2025 Postseason WNIT on Monday, March 24 at 7 p.m. ET.

COPPIN STATE 58, COLGATE 48

HAMILTON, NY – Coppin State erased a fourth-quarter deficit with a 20-5 4th quarter to knock off Colgate, 58-48, in the first round of the 2025 Postseason WNIT.

The Eagles held Colgate scoreless for the first nine minutes of the fourth quarter, scoring the first 15 points of the quarter to seize control of the game. Coppin State’s defense was stifling all night, holding Colgate to just 25 percent shooting and allowing just six points in the paint all game.

Angel Jones led the way for Coppin State with five steals and a team-high 14 points on 7-of-14 shooting. Dani McTeer added 12 points and two steals, while Laila Lawrence registered a double-double with 10 points, 12 rebounds, two steals and three blocks.

Coppin State travels to Cleveland State for the second round of the 2025 Postseason WNIT and will take on the Vikings on Tuesday, March 25 at 7 p.m. ET.
