ARMY 59, BRYANT 58

SMITHFIELD, R.I. – Army came storming back in the second half to advance to the second round of the 2025 Postseason WNIT with a 59-58 victory over Bryant. It marked the first-ever D-I Postseason victory for the Black Knights.

Army trailed by as much as 21 points in the third quarter as Bryant went on a 17-0 run. The Black Knights quickly answered back over the final five minutes of the third quarter though with a 16-0 run of its own to keep the game close heading into the fourth quarter.

Army trailed for most of the fourth quarter before eventually taking the lead on a pair of free throws by Fiona Hastick, who led the Black Knights with 22 points, with 48.4 seconds left. It gave Army its first lead since it led 5-3 in the first quarter.

Army will take on Rutgers in the second round at Rutgers on Sunday, March 23, at 2 p.m. ET.

UMASS 86, STONEHILL 40

AMHERST, MA – UMass took control of its Round 1 game against Stonehill with a 17-3 run in the second quarter, then rang up the first 13 points of the third quarter to cruise to the win.

The Minutewomen (17-14) will play at Buffalo (25-7) in Round 2; tipoff is set for Sunday, March 23 at 2 p.m. ET.

Filling the boxscore nicely was Yahmani McKayle, who had a triple-double featuring 14 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists. Megan Olbrys had 20 points and nine rebounds for UMass, which finished with a 62-20 advantage in rebounds. Stefanie Kulesza added 15 points and nine rebounds, and Chinenye Odenigbo closed with 10 rebounds.

The Skyhawks (17-16), in their third year at Division I, were paced by Breana Delaney's 15 points.

DUQUESNE 70, LONGWOOD 68

PITTSBURGH, PA – Jerni Kiaku hit the game-winning basket with 0.3 seconds left to give Duquesne the thrilling 70-68 victory over Longwood in the first round of the 2025 Postseason WNIT.

Kiaku finished the night with 17 points, 12 rebounds and five assists, while Megan McConnell added 25 points, eight rebounds and seven steals, while playing all 40 minutes.

Kiaku's basket put the finishing touch on a 25-14 fourth quarter for Duquesne.

The Dukes will take on Miami (OH) in the second round of the Postseason WNIT at Miami on Sunday, March 23 at 1 p.m. ET.

CAMPBELL 57, COASTAL CAROLINA 55

CONWAY, SC – Campbell outscored host Coastal Carolina 21-11 in the fourth quarter to polish off the comeback victory in Round 1 of the 2025 Postseason WNIT.

The Camels (22-12), who were 5-for-31 from the field in the first half, advance to Round 2 and will platy at Southern Indiana (22-12) on Sunday, March 23 at 7 p.m. ET.

Conventional 3-point plays from Jaylen Ponder and Savannah Brooks pushed Coastal Carolina to a 44-36 lead late in the third quarter. With 5:14 left in the game, Courtney Dahlquist hit a 3-pointer for Campbell to take a 47-46 lead; the Chanticleers regained the lead but the Camels moved ahead again 56-55 on two free throws from Gemma Nunez with 41 seconds left.

Dahlquist had 12 points for Campbell; Hadleigh Dill, who made the last point of the game on a free throw, had 10 points.

The Chanticleers (23-9) missed their first 14 3-pointers and had three chances to hit a shot in the final 13 seconds to either tie the game or go ahead. Brooks and Alancia Ramsey each had 10 points for Coastal Carolina.

WESTERN ILLINOIS 89, LIPSCOMB 74

MACOMB, IL – Western Illinois shot nearly 51 percent from the field and took control of the game early en route to an opening-round 89-74 victory over Lipscomb in the 2025 Postseason WNIT.

The Leathernecks were led by a two-headed monster of Raegan McCowan and Mia Nicastro. McCowan led Western Illinois with 28 points and 15 rebounds, while Nicastro added 26 points, six rebounds and six assists. Mallory McDermott also reached double-figures for Western Illinois with 16 points on 6-of-11 shooting.

The Leathernecks will take on Illinois State in the second round of the 2025 Postseason WNIT on Sunday, March 23 at 3 p.m. ET.

ABILENE CHRISTIAN 86, NORTHWESTERN STATE 59

ABILENE, TX – Abilene Christian had the touch early, scoring 17 straight points in the first quarter on the way to topping Northwestern State in Round 1 of the 2025 Postseason WNIT.

The Wildcats (21-12) will play a Round 2 game at Central Arkansas (23-9); tipoff is set for Monday, March 24 at 7:30 p.m. ET.

Erin Woodson had 21 points for Abilene Christian; Payton Hull scored 15 points, Meredith Mayes came through with 16 points and seven rebounds, and Bella Earle added 13 points. ACU closed with a 45-32 edge in rebounds and was 17-for-20 in free throws.

The Demons (16-16) got 14 points each from Mya Blake and Sharna Ayres; Vernell Atamah scored 11 points.

UT ARLINGTON 78, UIW 52

ARLINGTON, TX – UT Arlington came strong with defense in a Round 1 game of the 2025 Postseason WNIT, holding UIW to 25 percent shooting overall in the Mavs' victory.

The Mavericks (18-13) will play a Round 2 game at North Texas; tipoff is set for Monday, March 24 at 7:30 p.m. ET.

UT Arlington had a 47-22 lead at halftime; the Mavericks saw Taliyah Clark score 22 points; Avery Brittingham had 16 points and nine rebounds while Miraya Perkins closed with 11 points.

The Cardinals (18-14) were 2-for-20 from 3-point range. Destiny Whitaker had 15 points and seven rebounds, Jorja Elliott added 11 points and Myra Bell scored 10 points.

TEXAS SOUTHERN 54, SAINT MARY'S 50

HOUSTON, TX – Texas Southern utilized a big third quarter to gain control of the game and knock off Saint Mary's, 54-50, to advance to the second round of the 2025 Postseason WNIT.

Down three at half, Texas Southern outscored Saint Mary's 22-9 in the third quarter. The Lady Tigers were led by Aylasia Fantroy, who registered a double-double 16 points, 10 rebounds and four steals. As a team, Texas Southern forced Saint Mary's into 23 turnovers and held the Gaels to just 36 percent shooting from the field.

Texas Southern will travel to Louisiana Tech to take on the Lady Techsters on Monday, March 24 at 7:30 p.m. ET.

LINDENWOOD 76, TULSA 60

ST. CHARLES, MO - Lindenwood led wire-to-wire to take down Tulsa, by the score of 76-60 to earn the program's first ever D1 postseason win.

Lindenwood (22-10) scored early and often, snagging a 27-12 lead after the first quarter. The Lions shot a blazing 6/10 from three in the first half. The Lions did a great job of sharing the scoring role, with four players scoring in the double digits, led by Brooke Coffey with 13.

Tulsa (17-15) turned up the intensity in the fourth quarter, forcing six Lindenwood turnovers late, but the effort fell short in the end. The Golden Hurricanes were led by Paige Bradley, Mady Cartwright and Krystol Ayson, all scoring 13.

Lindenwood plays at Tarleton State in the Round of 32 on Sunday at 3:00 p.m. ET.

NEW MEXICO STATE 54, PACIFIC 49

STOCKTON, CA – After scoring just 16 points in the first half, New Mexico State scored 25 points in the third quarter to storm back into contention before holding off a furious rally by Pacific in Round 1 of the 2025 Postseason WNIT.

The Aggies (18-15), who shot 6-for-31 from the field in the first half, will play a Round 2 game at North Dakota State (19-11) on Monday, March 24, with tipoff at 7 p.m. ET

NMSU enjoyed a 9-0 run to start the third quarter; a layup from Sianny Sanchez-Oliver pulled the Aggies into a 29-29 tie with 4:52 left in the quarter. Liz Smith hit two free throws for the Tigers to tie it up at 43-all with 5:57 left in the final quarter.

With 2:08 left, Sanchez-Oliver made a layup to push the Aggies ahead, 50-47; after a made shot by Elizabeth Elliott for Pacific, Fanta Gassama hit a shot and converted a free throw to push the NMSU lead to 53-49 with 29 seconds left.

Sylena Peterson had 13 points for the Aggies; Gassama added 12 points and 11 rebounds and Jaila Harding scored 10 points.

The Tigers (15-19) had 21 turnovers; Elliott finished with 16 points and Anaya James added 11 points.
