Iowa came strong with its defensive effort late Friday, holding BYU to 30 percent shooting from the floor and forcing 20 turnovers as the Hawkeyes moved to 8-0 on the year at the Women’s Cancun Challenge.

The VCU Rams were eager for the start of the Cancun Challenge and it showed on Thursday morning en route to a 57-51 victory over the Providence Friars.
